I Went, I Saw, I Felt Sick...

I am happy to report I got through the High School Meeting last night without throwing up. Ya'll, I sat there and seriously thought I was going to be sick while I was listening to the info about credits, transcripts, course hours, blah, blah, blah....

You see, I don't do well with, um, change. I like our little school right now. Nobody tells me what I have to do and how to do it. Next year, it all changes.

But, I remember feeling the very same way when Tyler started Kindergarten. When I opened up his ABEKA flash cards I actually cried. I had no idea how I was going to teach someone to read while having a 4 year old and two year old in the house. I had no idea how to even teach someone to read period. But we did it and now I am the mom who tells all the sweet young scared moms, "You can do this. Just take one day at a time. Just do the next lesson in the book. Just say EXACTLY what the teacher's manual tells you to say." And by child #3, or 6, or whenever it hits you, you will realize, "Hey, this isn't that bad, I can do this."

So, I will do what I know to do on this day. That's all you can do.

My favorite quote from last night. "If you are scared to do what God has called you to do-just do it scared."

I would rather be scared with Him than without Him.
