Oh well. That isn't going to happen today. Yesterday we had school and then were gone for most of the day. Errands and grocery buying. I walked out of ALDI and just wanted to cry. Everything costs soooo much. I went to Publix to get some BOGO deals and everything really costs soooo much there. Sometimes it is hard not to get discouraged about it all.
After unloading all the groceries and getting supper together, which was one of the worst excuses for a supper ever, we all went out to pick blueberries. Between all six of us picking we got 3 quarts which is pretty good for one night's work. Blueberries are tiny little things, you know.
But guess what? Tomorrow night Mark and I are going to a party. A real-life grown-up party. To celebrate the 4th. With good food and company and fireworks. As in I will get dressed up and go out somewhere with my husband. All four kiddos will be coming along as it is a family party also, but I can handle that. Although a night out with Mark sounds delightful. Hint, hint.
By the way, Mark has a birthday coming up. Any good ideas of something fun and creative to get him? I am so boring right now and can't think of anything.
Okay, off to give two spelling tests and do multiplication flashcards. And Science narration. And I told Mark I would cook a real supper tonight. He didn't ask me to, bless his heart, he will eat whatever, he is so good-natured, but he does need sustenance. As do these four children and they are always reminding me of that fact.
